The Grenache constitutes the basis and gives body to the wines, whilst the Syrah gives aroma, smoothness and tannins and the Cinsault makes the wine fruity and gives elegance to it.  This wine is fruity when young and gives an abundant aroma of blackberries and undergrowth when ageing. It even develops aromas of truffles and leather at the end.

Boizel Joyau de France Brut 1995

Boizel Joyau de France Brut 1995

France, Epernay
55% Pinot Noir / 45% Chardonnay

The name of this prestige cuvée recalls that of ”Trésor”, the vault which has sheltered the great vintages since 1834.  Created by René Boizel in 1961, it represents the quintessence of the Boizel know-how.

This special cuvée is produced only in exceptional years from Grands and Premiers Crus grapes, a portion of which is vinified in barrels.  These grapes are selected for their aptitude to develop after vinification, blending and ageing a unique character and finesse.  The robe is intense gold with a very fine mousse.

The first aromas are delicate (white flowers, fresh almond), then notes of candied fruits and grilled brioche. On the palate, a fantastic balance between freshness, mellowness and body.  The fruity aromas are predominant (peach, pear) with a great complexity and hints of biscuits and dry raisins; the finish is very pure and long.
